Hunters in Arenas after 2.4 patch

World of Warcraft HunterAfter the 2.4 nerf of drinking in Arenas, a lot of hunters (especially the 11/41/9 ones) are wondering if these 4 extra points in Beast Mastery still worth in order to get Beastial Swiftness. Now you have 4 more seconds until you stop someone from drinking. Is this time enough for your pet to hit the opponent and get him into combat again?

Let’s see a possible build:

Beast Mastery  (7)

  • Endurance Training: 5/5
  • Improved Revive Pet: 2/2

Marksmanship (41)

  • Lethal Shots: 5/5
  • Efficiency: 5/5
  • Improved Arcane Shot: 5/5
  • Aimed Shot: 1/1
  • Improved Stings: 5/5
  • Mortal Shots: 5/5
  • Scatter Shot: 1/1
  • Barrage: 3/3
  • Trueshot Aura: 1/1
  • Careful Aim: 1/3
  • Improved Barrage: 3/3
  • Master Marksman: 5/5
  • Silencing Shot: 1/1

Survival (13)

  • Humanoid Slaying: 3/3
  • Hawk Eye: 3/3
  • Entrapment: 3/3
  • Improved Wing Clip:3/3
  • Clever Traps: 1/2

Furthermore, a hunter doesn’t have enough time to feign death/drink anymore. Your Priest/Druid partner will need your help sooner. Having only the Vengeful Gladiator’s Waraxe isn’t an option. You need more mana and the +30 intellect enchant on 1h weapons will do a great job. You must grind some honor to get the season 1 weapons or spend some spare arena points to get your vengeful ones.
