Void Shatter
I was very glad when I hit Honored with the Shattered Sun Offensive franction. As I am enchanter, I am able to pick 2 new enchanting recipes, [Formula: Void Shatter] & [Formula: Enchant Chest - Defense]. Both are great recipes, especially the Void Shatter one. The problem is that it requires a Runed Eternium Rod. A very expensive rod with materials worthing 450-550g along the most servers. In case you don’t know the Runed Eternium Rod is a tool only for 5 enchanting recipes yet.
Enchant Weapon - Executioner
Enchant Weapon - Mongoose
Enchant Weapon - Soulfrost
Enchant Weapon - Sunfire
and
Void Shatter
I wasn’t lucky enough with my runs in Karazhan & Zul’aman to get any of these recipes until now. Does it worth it to create this rod only for Void Shatter ? One more thing that we must know before taking any desicions is that the recipe has a 1-day-cooldown.

Currently, prices of Void Crystals on my server worth 30 gold. This will probably rise to 35-40 in the next weeks. Therefore, if you bought 100 void crystal (at 30g each) and shattered 1 per day for 50 days, you would make profit of about 1000g. (Large Prismatics sell for 25g(ish)).Now, knowing the prices of these will change and profit probably deteriate over time, plus taking into account the auction house cut if this is used, you would be looking at about 40 days before you started making any sort of profit.
In my opinion, use the 600gold you’re going to spend for the rod, to buy as many Void Crystals as you can, and sell them when the price’s rise!
