Played Time and New Records
Lately I was wondering how much time is needed to level up a 2nd+ character. A couple of weeks ago I started leveling a druid and hit 28 level just yesterday. My played time was a little over 1 day. Searching in WoW official forums and WoWInsider about leveling records wasn’t a really good idea. In the same time 2 other wow players have dinged lvl 70.
Tosog goes 1 to 70 in 28,5 hours

Strategy
This was done thanks to precise planning and help of my guildies and friends (T6 equipped). I’ve never killed a single mob by myself, I just hit it once and the non-grouped helpers finished it. I avoided travelling with some help of Warlocks and their summoning portal. In addition I only played during the night, thus avoiding crowded zones and non available quest mobs.
I also made advantage of the resting bonus, but the most of the XPs were gained by solving quests.I used the leveling guides on wow-pro.com up to level 65 and tentonhammer.com up to level 70.Tosog is my 5th character so I knew the quests/maps pretty well.
All in all (planning, organisation etc.) it took me more time to get this char to 70 than playing it the “normal” way (with about 5-7 days /played).
ps. Athene, a well-known paladin in European Realms, replied with an even faster leveling, at 26 hours:
