Angry Birds vs WoW

Playing games of the real-time strategy genre such as Warcraft can be challenging but there are occasions when you just want to have fun. So, if you think you are getting “sick” with these games, Angry Birds is the ideal “medicine” for your “illness”!

WoW Angry Birds

Angry Birds is an exciting, stage-based game, in which Birds are released using a slingshot towards the nasty Pigs. During this, most of the constructions and objects are also demolished, creating a hilarious visual and audio experience. The game features user-friendly controls and Birds of distinct colors, which deliver tons of amusement. Apart from the sheer fun, you need to collect as more points as possible, get accomplishments, locate hidden items and eggs and unlock new, colorful and fascinating levels!

The dynamic characters of the game, the Angry Birds, carry different abilities, such as exploding, splitting to pieces, creating tremors etc, all activated by just tapping on the screen at the appropriate moment!

Moreover, the vast Angry Birds series guarantees that you won’t ever get bored! Apart from the original version, Rovio has come up with Angry Birds Seasons, Rio, Space, Magic and, recently, Angry Birds Star Wars. In each of these versions the player continues the storyline of the earlier game and is ready to explore new features and levels!

Angry Birds are available at a broad selection of platforms including iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad), Android devices, MAC, Windows PC etc. as well as home-gaming consoles like Xbox or Nintendo DS. In addition, certain episodes of Angry Birds Original can be played on-line, on Google Plus, Google Chrome and Facebook!

After all the above, it is no wonder that Angry Birds have the record for the most downloads made through app stores! So, take a break of the confusing, Warcraft-like games and try out a version of the truly addictive and exhilarating Angry Birds series!

Wrath of the Lich King Achievements

A new button in the action bar is going to be introduced in the Wrath of the Lich king expansion, called Achievements. The new window will contain information with achievements you made during your play in World of Warcraft. Each achievement will grand you some points. The achievements window will be available to the inspect command, to the armory website, and finally will be announced in the guild.

Wrath Achievements

8 types of achievements are available until now:

  • Player-vs.-Player: This includes arena, battlegrounds, and world player-vs.-player objectives. A few examples:
    • Hot Streak: Win 10 ranked arena matches in a row.
    • Alterac Valley All-Star: Capture graveyards, towers, and kill the enemy leader all in one game.
    • City Defender: Kill 50 enemy players in your faction’s capital cities.
  • Dungeons and Raids: Every end boss of every raid and dungeon in the game grants its own achievement. Future achievements in this category may include ones for completing a run without any player deaths, with fewer than the maximum number of players, or within a certain time limit.
  • Professions: Advancing to each tier of mastery in a profession earns you an achievement, and there are specific achievements for secondary skills (with major professions to follow).
  • Quests: Quest-based achievements include completing a certain number of quests and completing specific quest lines. This category contains zone-specific subcategories.
  • Events: Seasonal events such as the Midsummer Festival, the Lunar Festival, and Hallows’ End have specific achievements of their own.
  • World Exploration: You’ll earn achievements by exploring each zone in the game — and get meta-achievements when you fully explore a continent.
  • Reputations: This set of achievements includes attaining exalted reputation with each faction in the game.
  • General: These achievements tend toward the whimsical, including getting a shave and haircut (a new feature of Wrath of the Lich King), obtaining a certain number of tabards and vanity pets, falling from a great height, and more.

Double Rogue vs Druid/Warrior

Easiest possible match for you. This match you start off splitting DPS. If one of you has Perception, the other opens on the Warrior and draws the Druid out with Evasions/Ghostly Strike while tanking the Warrior. He’ll do minimal DPS here due to the massive dodge and parry from the Rogue. When the Druid pops out, Rogue #2 opens on him and applies early pressure. The Druid simply cannot heal through 2 Rogues damaging him and his teammate, especially with stuns/kicks on him.

Whoever trinkets first should get Blinded, and then you can focus DPS and kill the other. If it comes down to the 2 of you and the Warrior neither of you have any of your cooldowns, just stay cool. One of you lets the other get away to bandage while kiting/LOSing him. Then the other comes and peels while the other bandages.

Paladin/Warrior vs Mage/Rogue

When Mage/Rogue team goes for the Paladin, both warrior and paladin must hug the pillars and play extremely defensively. The Warrior tries to spamstring the Rogue, while the paladin puts BoF himself and kites both Mage & Rogue. The paladin mostly will heal with holy shocks so eventually a bubble will be forced to max warrior’s & paladin’s health. The Warrior must be ready to shout & bleed the rogue to avoid vanish, concecration must be used in cool down too! BoSac on Warrior and Spam cleanse and it’s beatable.

When Mage/Rogue team goes for the Warrior, the game is different, defensive stance and spell reflecting frostbolts are must when you’re in LoS of the mage. Your target is the rogue again, kite mage as much as possible. Don’t afraid to use the trinket to avoid a shatter combo.

Flying Mounts in Northrend

Yesterday Bornakk posted something about flying mounts in the upcoming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King.

You will be able to use the same mounts that you currently use in Outland. There will be some sort of process to complete to be able to use the mount once a character hits level 77, but the exact details are undecided at this time. If you are referring to needing a large sum of gold to use them, sort of like a new tier of flying skill, that isn’t the current plan.

I made 7000 gold in 10 days!

Well I have already alarmed you that the new arena season would raise the demand of some materials/crafts especially during the first week. I have chosen enchanting & jewelcrafting professions for my holy paladin (farming as holy isn’t much fun). Using these 2 professions and “farming” the Auction House help me get my Epic Flying Mount and the title of the Shattered sun in less than 10 days!

The guide I used is available here, but I’m going to reveal some tips i used with NUMBERS.

First of all, i have started with 500 gold in my pocket, 3 primal nethers, 2 primal airs, 6 large prismatic shards, 5 living rubies, 8 talasites (I couldn’t sold them before) and enough free time.

I visited the Auction House of Stormwind and started buying every Living Ruby, Noble Topaz, Dawnstone i could find in normal prices. 40-55 for Living Rubies, 25-35 for Noble topazes and 15-25g for Dawnstones.

I cut Living Rubies to Teardrop Living Rubies and sold them for 95g each!

I cut Noble Topazes to Luminous and Inscribed Noble topaz  and sold them for 55g each!

I cut Dawnstones to Gleaming and Smooth Dawnstones and sold them for 40g each!

I cut my banked Talasites to Steady Talasites and sold them for 20g each!

I sold my Primal Nethers for 80g each while before s4, their prices were like 25g!

Finally I sold my Large Prismatic Shards for 40g!

Also instead of playing my beloved arenas with my warrior friend, i was watching the Trade Channel. The demand of +15 resilience on chest had skyrocketed! Same for epic gems. I have bought every epic recipe from Shattered Sun Offensive fraction and I was selling cuts for 15g. To be continued … here!

Now I’m enjoying my first epic flying mount :-D I didn’t get bored to buy it and more important i learned how to avoid daily quests for my repairs and consumables!

It’s the first boss in Gruul’s Lair. It comes with 4 adds, Kiggler the Crazed (Shaman), Blindeye the Seer (Priest), Olm the Summoner (Warlock) and Krosh Firehand (Mage). Karazhan geared guild should not have a problem to kill Maulgar, it’s all about tactics and a correct pull.Maulgar’s Abilities

Setup

You need 1 Main Tank, 2 off tanks, 1 Mage with High Stamina or PVP gear, 2 Hunters or 1 Mookin, 1 Warlock, 6-7 healers and the rest mix dps depending your guild setup.

Strategy

The Main Tank takes Maulgar, the high stamina Mage takes the Kross Firehand, the hunters or the Moonkin takes Kiggler the Crazed, and the 2 off tanks the Priest and the Warlock.

The positioning must be done according to the image bellow. Missdirections will help for a correct pull. As you see in the image , the Mage and the Shaman are tanked where they start, but Maulgar and the Warlock+Priest must be tanked away from each other and from their starting position. The fight starts with a firebolt by the mage

Maulgar Placement

Killing order is Priest - Warlock - Shaman - Mage - Maulgar

Paladin/Shaman/Warrior 3v3

This setup is one of the most viable for holy paladins and resto shamans in 3v3 bracket. Basically this setup lacks on CC but both Shaman and Paladin can play the outlast game very well. Coordinate drinkings, avoid CC, kiting, Interrupts on CD by the Shaman and burst dmg by the healers when Bloodlust/Heroism is up are the keys for this team to succeed!

Holy Paladin: 41/20/0
The basic  talent build for a PVP holy palading with 20 points in Protection Tree for Stoicism and Improved Concentration Aura.

Resto Shaman: 0/9/52
A full resto build with Improved Ghost Wolf from the enhancement tree.

Arms Warrior: 35/23/3 or 33/28/0

Matchups

vs Rogue/Priest/Mage

Very difficult matchup as you can easily get CC’ed. Some basic points that may help:

  • Early Blessing of Protection on Shaman when the rogue is on him,
  • Blessing of Sacrifice to avoid sheeps/blind,
  • The warrior must go for the priest and the shaman must spam purge him,
  • Fake healing to avoid CS and Kick,
  • Kite as much as possible, use Blessing of Freedom to their target

vs Druid/Warlock/Hunter

Don’t play the outlast game with this setup. Early Bloodlust/Heroism, Judgement of Justice, and burst dps by Shaman and Paladin on their druid for a gib is the way to go.

vs Druid/Rogue/Warlock

Usually the rogue and warlock will just buy the druid time the entire fight. Gibbing the felhunter before the druid pops out is key. Bouncing back and forth b.w the warlock and druid while keeping snares on their rogue is important. Getting that druid to shift to bear with Judgement of Justice on him constantly will drop his mana quick. Landing every interrupt on the druid is extremely necessary too.

vs Melee Zerg

Possible teams are Druid/Rogue/Warrior and Druid/Retri Paladin/Warrior. Always go for the druid with Judgement of Justice Up. The shaman will be their target most of the time. Their team lacks on CC too, so you won’t have problems healing their target. This setup is basically why Shaman/Holy Paladin/Warrior can succeed in 3v3s.

Arena Season 4

Arena Season 4 has now officially begun, and players can immediately begin competing for the new Brutal Gladiator and Guardian PvP item sets. Players will now also be able to purchase Arena Season 2 items using the honor system. Please note that we have reset all Arena team and personal ratings, though players retain their Arena points and teams. The team and personal rating have simply been reset to the default 1500, allowing all teams to once again compete for top honors with a fresh start. Also, with the end of the third season, players on the top teams from each battlegroup will be receiving their end-of-season rewards approximately one week from today. These include Arena-specific titles that they can display proudly until the end of the new season, and, for the best of the best, an Armored Nether Drake.

It’s very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for the Arena-specific title and/or Armored Nether Drake to refrain from transferring their character to another realm between now and when these end-of-season rewards are physically awarded, otherwise they will become ineligible to receive either.
